  • Manage, deploy and maintain the Council's existing Wi-Fi platform, ensuring optimal performance, security and coverage while keeping systems up to date with the latest configurations and updates.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors and service providers to deliver, support and maintain network and telephony systems, ensuring projects and ongoing services are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network topologies and the ability to apply this knowledge to complex multi-site environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with IT colleagues and wider service areas, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting and support.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence holder and access to a personal vehicle insured for work purposes, as the role involves site visits and transporting networking hardware.
