Linux Engineer

We're hiring an experienced Linux Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure migration programme.

This is a hands-on engineering role, working directly on Linux systems during build, migration, and cutover phases to ensure environments are stable, secure, and successfully transitioned.

You'll play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure changes within complex, enterprise environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing and supporting Linux environments (RedHat, Ubuntu)
• Supporting system builds, upgrades, and migration activities
• Troubleshooting issues in live production environments
• Supporting cutover and transition activities, including out-of-hours work where required
• Working with infrastructure teams to ensure smooth delivery of project milestones
• Supporting build, test, and transition phases of the programme

Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration (RedHat / Ubuntu)

• Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments
• Comfortable supporting live systems during migration or change activity
• Experience with automation, scripting, or basic DevOps tooling
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Experience supporting infrastructure or data centre migrations
• Familiarity with virtualisation or cloud environments
• Exposure to monitoring, logging, or performance tools
• Experience working within multi-team delivery environments
