Devops engineer

• Support CI/CD pipeline migration efforts to GitLab.
• Participate in release activities, including after-hours support when needed.
• Work across multiple applications and technologies.
• Troubleshoot issues and support production environments.
• Assist with security-related tasks and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate across teams and quickly adapt to changing priorities.

Work Environment & Expectations

• This is a dynamic environment with frequent shifts in priorities.
• Engineers may support different applications regularly.
• Strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to learn quickly are essential.

• Strong experience with GitLab is required.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform is expected.
• Python is preferred, along with required Bash/Shell scripting experience.
• Candidates should be comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines, reusable pipeline structures, and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of Groovy scripting and overall pipeline architecture is beneficial.

Tools & Technologies

• Primary tools include GitLab, with legacy tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and UCD still in use during transition.
• The team is actively migrating from legacy CI/CD tools to GitLab.
• The environment is primarily AWS-based, with a strong emphasis on cloud (CloudWatch, logging tools, etc.).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and EKS is expected.

Security & Monitoring

• Candidates should have experience with security scans (SAST, etc.) and vulnerability remediation.
• Familiarity with application monitoring and performance tools is important.

AI & Emerging Technologies

• Exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and GitHub Copilot is preferred.
• AI-driven development is becoming more prominent, and adaptability to new technologies is important.
