Job description
Under direction from the Information Systems Manager, works across multiple areas of organization's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration of: IT Systems Software, Hardware, and Databases Data & Voice Networks Data Processing Operations End User Technology & Software Support Conducts cost/benefit analyses for proposed IT projects as input to the organization's IT roadmap. Responsibilities typically include: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult and can be complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Deployment: Assist in deploying and provisioning Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and network configurations.

Resource Management: Manage and monitor Azure resources to ensure they are running efficiently and within budget constraints.

Configuration and Automation: Use Azure automation tools (e.g., Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI) to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management.

Azure Active Directory: Set up and manage Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for user authentication and access control.

Azure Networking: Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks, VPNs, and network security groups (NSGs) to ensure secure and efficient communication between Azure resources.

Data Services: Implement and manage Azure data services, such as Azure SQL Databases, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage.

Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics) to track the performance, availability, and security of Azure resources.

Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, follow Azure security best practices, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Backup and Disaster Recovery: Configure and manage Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery services for data protection and disaster recovery purposes.

Cost Management: Monitor and optimize Azure resource usage to control costs and ensure cost-effective solutions.

Scaling and Load Balancing: Implement auto-scaling and load balancing solutions to manage varying workloads and ensure high availability.

Patch Management: Keep Azure resources and virtual machines up to date by applying patches and updates.

Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for Azure configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, to design and implement Azure-based solutions.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Azure resources and services, both proactively and reactively.

Continuous Learning: Stay current with Azure technologies, industry trends, and best practices through self-study and training.

Compliance and Governance: Enforce governance policies, access controls, and compliance standards within the Azure environment.

Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance improvements for Azure resources and applications.

Disaster Recovery Planning: Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.

Customer Support: Provide technical support to end-users and resolve Azure-related issues.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Teamwork?, Experience: Minimum five years practical experience with a wide variety of technology disciplines; Windows-based Local Area Networking experience required, preferably in a professional business office environment. Legitimate training experience and industry-related certifications are preferred.
Education: College degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.
Other Skills: Individual skills which qualify for "subject matter expert" status is preferred as it relates to disciplines found in the IS environment including, but not limited to, Azure, SAN technologies, Microsoft Server, Microsoft 365, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively interact with management and staff.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Typical physical demands include: a high degree of manual dexterity to sufficiently perform computer functions on a keyboard, produce materials on a PC, operate basic office equipment, normal or corrected vision and hearing, extensive sitting and/or walking, mobility sufficient to visit with departments or employees throughout the company and lift up to 25 lbs.
