Job description

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician II to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and assistance to our customers with the focus on Network Infrastructure. The IT Support Technician II will be responsible for troubleshooting network infrastructures, resolving technical problems, working on computer related tasks, and delivering excellent customer service. It would be a plus if the candidate was willing to learn new applications in IT, security systems, door access, VoIP phone systems and more., Provide Network Infrastructure Setup & Support for customer sites

  • Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of network performance, ensuring optimal operation of all network components.
  • Offer technical assistance when needed.
  • Set up and troubleshoot VPN connections for remote employees.
  • Support the implementation and configuration of network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively communicating technical solutions.
  • Participate in troubleshooting network issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Contribute to network security efforts by implementing best practices and assisting in vulnerability assessments.

*Must be willing to work in the office and on occasion go to customer locations

Requirements

Do you have experience in VPN?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Associate or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field recommended (But not required if candidate has good experience).

  • 1+ Years of experience in network support and setup.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and software applications.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals recommended
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Relevant certifications towards network management & vendors a plus
  • Some exposure to cloud networking concepts and technologies a plus
