Job description

  • Perform website migration activities while preserving SEO, redirects, content integrity, and accessibility compliance
  • Assess existing website functionality including forms, workflows, search, events, integrations, and custom features
  • Recommend alternative plugins, native platform features, and migration solutions for unsupported or custom functionality
  • Work directly with customers to gather, analyze, and clarify website migration requirements
  • Communicate technical concepts and migration strategies effectively to non-technical stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve accessibility issues during website migrations using WCAG guidelines and accessible web design standards
  • Coordinate DNS updates, custom domains, subdomains, and URL validation activities required for site migrations
  • Prioritize and sequence website migrations based on visibility, complexity, institutional impact, and business needs
  • Design, maintain, and manage migration intake processes, tracking mechanisms, and request workflows
  • Collaborate with customers to assess migration readiness, establish timelines, and execute transition plans
  • Serve as liaison between CampusPress vendor teams, web hosting teams, and end users to coordinate migration activities and troubleshoot issues
  • Document migration procedures, customer communications, technical issues, and project status updates
  • Support deployment workflows and version control processes using Git or similar tools
  • Ensure successful delivery of migration projects aligned with organizational standards and timelines
  • Strong experience building, managing, and migrating WordPress websites

Requirements

  • Experience evaluating and mapping website functionality requirements to platform capabilities
  • Knowledge of forms, workflows, search functionality, event systems, integrations, and plugin alternatives
  • Strong customer engagement, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and accessible web design practices
  • Experience identifying and remediating accessibility issues during website migrations
  • Understanding of DNS fundamentals, domain configuration, subdomains, and URL validation
  • Strong prioritization, planning, and project coordination abilities
  • Experience managing multiple migration projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Git or version control systems
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Experience working with higher education or enterprise web environments
  • Experience collaborating with hosting vendors and infrastructure teams
  • Knowledge of deployment workflows and web hosting operations
  • Experience with Sites@GT or similar managed WordPress platforms
