BI Analyst | Crystal Reports Developer || Ann Arbor, MI (Hybrid) || 6-12 months || Video

• We are seeking an experienced BI Analyst / Report Developer with deep, hands-on expertise in SAP Crystal Reports and Microsoft SQL Server (T SQL) to support complex reporting tied to Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) project and financial data., * Modify, enhance, and maintain complex SAP Crystal Reports
• Develop, update, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures supporting reports
• Support reporting for AEC project, operational, and financial data
• Translate business and reporting requirements into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and debug legacy reports and database logic
• Analyze report dependencies, formulas, and stored procedure interactions
• Assess downstream impacts of report and SQL changes, * Large legacy ecosystem with 1,300+ SQL stored procedures
• Highly customized Crystal Reports with:
• Layered logic
• Hidden formulas
• Poorly documented dependencies
• Reporting supported by homegrown systems and centralized financial/budgeting data
• Small, collaborative team with SMEs and other report developers

Additional Details

• Majority of initial work involves modifying existing Crystal Reports
• Requests often require deep investigation across reports and SQL layers
• Crystal Reports and T SQL expertise are equally critical
• Technical interview will include a hands-on walkthrough of SQL or report logic

• This role focuses heavily on maintaining and modifying a highly customized legacy reporting environment, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand and explain existing report and SQL logic., * Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Crystal Reports (enterprise-level, complex reports)
• Advanced T SQL skills, including:
• Stored procedures
• Multi-table joins and CTEs
• Query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience supporting legacy reporting environments
• Strong ability to analyze, debug, and clearly explain existing code
• Experience working with large, structured datasets (financial and project data)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AEC / construction / facilities data
• Background working with financial systems or project accounting data
