Job description

Armis Platform Operations:

  • Serve as the day-to-day subject matter expert for the Armis platform within R&D laboratory environments.
  • Configure, tune, and maintain Armis policies, alerts, device classifications, and risk scoring aligned with laboratory-specific use cases.
  • Integrate Armis with existing IT and security tools to enhance device visibility and risk context.
  • Support testing, validation, and deployment of new Armis features and platform capabilities.
  • Continuously improve detection logic to minimize false positives and deliver actionable security insights.

Lab Asset Visibility And Risk Identification

  • Maintain accurate inventories of laboratory, OT, and IoT assets using Armis.
  • Identify vulnerable, unsupported, or improperly configured laboratory devices and network segments.
  • Document findings and collaborate with laboratory IT teams, instrument owners, and security teams to implement remediation and risk mitigation strategies.

Policies, Procedures And Controls

  • Develop, document, and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and operational runbooks for laboratory environments.
  • Support vulnerability and patch management processes appropriate for lab equipment and OT environments.
  • Establish and support incident detection, triage, and response procedures utilizing Armis capabilities.
  • Ensure alignment with internal security policies and frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, and GxP requirements.

Monitoring, Analysis And Incident Support

  • Configure and manage Armis alerts for anomalous activity, policy violations, and potential security incidents.
  • Investigate and triage alerts by correlating data from SIEM platforms, network logs, and security monitoring tools.
  • Support incident response activities including containment recommendations, impact analysis, and recovery planning.
  • Prepare reports related to laboratory asset inventories, vulnerabilities, risk posture, and incident trends for stakeholders.

Collaboration And Training

  • Partner with R&D scientists, laboratory operations teams, and instrument owners to understand workflows and operational requirements.
  • Ensure implemented security controls are practical, risk-based, and minimally disruptive to scientific operations.
  • Support security awareness initiatives and training sessions focused on OT/IoT security and Armis platform usage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience administering Armis or similar OT/IoT/medical device security platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security operations, or OT/IoT security roles.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and network access control technologies.
  • Experience with asset discovery, anomaly detection, and risk scoring methodologies.
  • Experience developing and implementing security procedures, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical R&D stakeholders.
