Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain a modern cloud environment, primarily within Microsoft Azure. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud services while supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives. You will work across cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and SaaS integrations, while also acting as a senior technical escalation point for complex cloud-related issues., Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures in Microsoft AzureManage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and security configurationsAdminister and optimise Microsoft 365 environmentsDevelop and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based servicesSupport integration of SaaS applications into the wider cloud ecosystemMonitor performance, optimise usage, and drive cost-efficiency across cloud platformsEnsure adherence to security standards, best practices, and compliance requirementsProvide advanced troubleshooting and serve as an escalation point for technical issuesDocument processes, configurations, and troubleshooting proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support application and infrastructure needs

Essential Proven experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on Microsoft AzureHands-on experience designing and managing Azure environmentsStrong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practicesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologiesBackground in Microsoft 365 administration and configurationExperience with cloud networking (including VNets, subnetting) and monitoring toolsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectivelyExperience supporting and resolving complex cloud incidents Desirable Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, ARM templates)Scripting and automation skills (e.g. PowerShell)Understanding of cost optimisation strategies in cloud environmentsRelevant Microsoft Azure certifications
