Job description

An excellent opportunity to join a leading financial services organisation. As the Data & Operations manager you will lead a specialist division within the company whilst owning divisional data, MI, workflow insight and operational reporting, acting as the main point of data and analytical expertise alongside performance insight throughout the business. Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Own and develop the divisional use of the Verint workflow system, including configuration, reporting, enhancements and ongoing optimisation
  • Lead the design, production and continual improvement of dashboards and reporting using Power BI, Tableau and SQL
  • Provide executive-level insight and analysis to the Managing Director and senior leadership team, translating data into clear operational and commercial actions
  • Act as the go-to subject matter expert for data, reporting, Tableau, Power BI and operational insight within the division
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across core lending, workflow and operational systems
  • Design, document and maintain operational KPIs covering service, performance, pipeline, capacity and customer outcomes
  • Produce ad-hoc analysis to support new products, process changes, regulatory reviews and strategic decision-making
  • Partner closely with Technology, Change, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Credit Risk teams to ensure aligned data definitions and reporting
  • Support small-change and transformation initiatives, ensuring data and MI requirements are embedded from the outset
  • Maintain clear documentation of processes, data definitions and reporting logic to reduce key-person dependency

Requirements

  • Significant experience in data, MI or analytical roles within financial services or regulated environments
  • Advanced Power BI and/or Tableau experience, including executive-level dashboards
  • Strong SQL capability and experience working with complex operational data-sets
  • Experience of owning data processes, data quality controls and reporting frameworks
  • Proven ability to translate data into clear insight for non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience managing or mentoring analysts
  • Experience with workflow or workforce management platforms (e.g. Verint)
  • Understanding of mortgage, bridging or property lending operations
  • Experience supporting operational change or digital transformation programmes
  • Exposure to FCA regulated environments and operational risk frameworks
