Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate FULL TIME NOC (11PM-7AM) CAREGIVER to provide exceptional overnight care and support to residents in a long-term care or assisted living environment. This vital role involves ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing memory loss such as dementia or Alzheimer's. As a caregiver on the night shift, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a calm, safe, and nurturing environment through attentive personal care, medication management, and engaging social interactions. Your commitment will help residents enjoy restful nights while receiving the respectful and professional care they deserve., * Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any health changes or signs of distress during overnight hours
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration throughout the night
- Support residents with dementia or memory care needs by implementing behavior management techniques and engaging them in calming activities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed
- Document incidents, resident status updates, and care activities thoroughly to ensure seamless communication among team members
Requirements
Do you have a valid Nurse Delegation Certification license?, Do you have experience in First aid?, * Prior experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or personal care homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications related to caregiving or nursing support are advantageous
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and compassion
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, team members, and emergency responders if needed
- Valid driver's license is a plus for community outings or transportation needs
