Hardware Systems Signal Integrity Engineer - iPhone

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in Signal Integrity including Lab and Simulation experience. Knowledge of electromagnetics, transmission line theory, extracting channel models and simulating EMI/Crosstalk are expected. Performing design feasibility study, design testing and verification, and system bring up.

Providing design guideline and supporting to system architecture design, board layout, product bring up, debug, validation, and factory builds.

Performing time-domain and statistical simulations to qualify signal integrity and optimizing driving strengths and equalization to ensure adequate voltage and timing margins over high volumes.

Performing lab measurements such as VNA characterization, Eye Diagrams, BERTs and Compliance Testing.

Working with multi-functional teams to define design requirements for improved EM performance and system coexistence by developing and improving design methodologies to achieve minimal EMI.

Do you have experience in Spectrum analyzers?, Ph.D. in EE with 5 years or equivalent of relevant working experience

A strong background in mobile system engineering is preferred

A passion for engineering with demonstrated initiative, creativity, and innovation.

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

Masters in EE or related field and a minimum of 5 years of industry experience

Strong EE fundamentals and problems solving skills

Strong academic background in EM theory and coupling mechanisms.

Hands-on experience in hardware board-level testing, validation, and with lab equipment (TDR, VNAs, scopes, near field scanning, spectrum analyzers)

Hands-on experience in EM and circuit simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS/Maxwell/SIWave, CST, ADS/Spice/Spectre, Cadence/Sigrity, scripting languages (Python, Perl)
