Looking for a strong hands-on Java API Lead/Architect to drive a major modernization initiative focused on redesigning a scalable insurance policy document generation system. This role involves end-to-end ownership (Design Build Deploy Monitor) with heavy focus on API architecture, legacy modernization, and AWS cloud-native development. Core Requirements

• 8+ years strong hands-on Java
• Expertise in API Design (REST, OpenAPI, scalable architecture)
• Experience building API-driven platforms
• Strong Data Modeling (simplifying complex legacy systems)
• Proven experience in Legacy Modernization initiatives
• Hands-on AWS (API Gateway, cloud-native development)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub)
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Solid DevSecOps pipeline understanding
• Domain: Insurance preferred (Open to Healthcare / Banking / Financial Services)

Huge Plus (Do NOT fake these skills)

• Document generation / templating systems
• Content management (Documentum or similar)
• Pega (API Integration only, NOT development)
• Microservices architecture
• MCP / Agentic AI exposure
