Network Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Network Engineer to support network infrastructure changes and data center operations. This role will work closely with the engineering team and remotely coordinate with on-site cabling technicians to execute maintenance activities, including equipment cutovers and connection migrations during scheduled maintenance windows ( outside standard business hours). Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineering team members to review and plan network changes and maintenance activities
• Lead and coordinate two remote data center/cabling technicians during maintenance windows
• Execute and oversee network cutovers, including transitioning from legacy equipment to new infrastructure
• Remotely access and configure network devices to support logical connection changes
• Validate and troubleshoot connectivity during and after migrations
• Interpret network diagrams, floor plans, and customer-provided documentation (including site photos)
• Provide real-time guidance to on-site technicians via virtual communication tools
• Ensure all changes follow established procedures and minimize downtime

• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts (routing, switching, VLANs, IP addressing)
• Experience with remote access tools and command-line interfaces for network devices
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and physical layouts
• Strong communication skills, especially in coordinating remote teams
• Attention to detail and ability to work effectively during off-hours maintenance windows
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in live environment
• Prior experience supporting data center operations or cabling teams
• Familiarity with network cutovers and migration processes
• Exposure to enterprise networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista)
• Understanding of change management processes
