embicas is built on many years of joint experience in embedded systems within international projects. Through long-standing collaboration in previous roles, we have developed strong technical expertise and lasting customer relationships.
We continue to build on these core competencies while expanding into new areas of embedded systems.
To strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for a dedicated FPGA and embedded software developer to join us immediately, working across customer projects and the development of our product.
Your responsibilities:
- Hardware-software co-design of FPGA-based embedded systems with a strong focus on VHDL development
- Development and execution of test benches as well as unit tests for thorough verification and validation
- Embedded software development in C for FPGA-based and microcontroller-driven systems
- Maintenance, optimization, and extension of existing solutions
- Bring-up and initial validation of new hardware platforms
- Close collaboration with system architects to ensure alignment and integration
Requirements
- You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
- You have 0-5 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong interest and hands-on experience in FPGA development using VHDL
- Solid experience in C programming for embedded systems
- Good understanding of hardware-software interaction and system-level design
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation
- Proactive, structured, and self-driven working style
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate
- Experience with modern development tools and workflows (e.g. Git, Jira)
Benefits & conditions
Compensation: The minimum annual gross salary is €53.200. The actual salary depends on qualifications and professional experience. As a company, we are subject to the Austrian IT collective agreement.
