Principal Platform Architect - Cloud & SaaS Architecture

• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to define and execute a multi year platform architecture roadmap.
• Design and document a scalable, modular, cloud native architecture that enables shared services, unified data models, and cross product interoperability.
• Act as the architectural owner for initiatives that advance platform maturity, including data model consolidation, single sign on (SSO), customer onboarding, and common administration.
• Partner closely with Data and AI teams to align platform design with analytics, reporting, and AI integration frameworks.
• Provide hands on technical leadership by reviewing designs, building reference implementations, and mentoring teams in modern architecture and DevOps best practices.
• Establish and govern architecture principles, standards, and reusable patterns across APIs, event driven systems, data flows, and security.
• Lead modernization efforts toward containerized, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) managed, service oriented architectures.
• Partner with DevOps teams to ensure robust CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automated environments.
• Evaluate tools, frameworks, and cloud solutions to drive long term maintainability, performance, and cost efficiency.

• Comfortable guiding teams through cloud adoption and modernization while maintaining stability and delivery velocity.
• Passionate about simplifying complexity, enabling innovation, and improving developer experience.

What You Have-

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in a Senior or Lead Architect role within a SaaS environment.
• Proven success designing and implementing enterprise scale, cloud native architectures using .NET (Core/C#) and Java ecosystems.
• Strong experience with Angular front end frameworks and RESTful or GraphQL API design.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), including data modeling and performance optimization.
• Hands on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Familiarity with AI/ML services, data pipelines, and modern analytics platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Experience leading architecture modernization, microservices adoption, and cross product integration initiatives.
• Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to align executives and engineering teams around a cohesive architectural vision.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
