Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer (TS/SCI with CI Poly Required)

DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer to support, maintain, and modernize enterprise IT infrastructure across classified and unclassified environments. This role requires a well-rounded infrastructure professional with expertise spanning systems administration, network engineering, enterprise storage, backup and recovery operations, and automation initiatives. The engineer will maintain critical infrastructure while helping drive future-state improvements through scripting, automation, and emerging AI-enabled operational efficiencies, working closely with cybersecurity teams, engineers, and leadership to ensure infrastructure remains secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant with accreditation requirements. A Day in the Life:

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and enterprise authentication systems
• Support virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere/ESXi
• Perform patching, upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and system hardening
• Support Exchange administration (preferred)
• Maintain enterprise switching, routing, firewalls, and network appliances
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall issues
• Support Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar infrastructure
• Maintain network documentation and diagrams
• Manage enterprise storage environments including NetApp, Dell EMC Unity, PowerMax, Hitachi VSP, or similar SAN/NAS platforms
• Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, LUN management, and performance troubleshooting
• Manage backup infrastructure including Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, Veritas, or similar platforms
• Conduct disaster recovery testing and restore validation
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash
• Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks
• Improve operational efficiency through infrastructure-as-code and workflow automation
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI tools for monitoring, reporting, documentation, and operational efficiencies
• Support accreditation requirements for classified environments
• Maintain compliance with security controls
• Support audits and vulnerability remediation
• Work closely with ISSOs, ISSMs, and cybersecurity teams

What You Bring to the Table:

• Strong experience in systems administration across Windows and Linux environments
• Strong networking experience supporting enterprise infrastructure
• Experience managing enterprise storage systems and SAN/NAS platforms
• Experience managing backup and recovery platforms
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware preferred)
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Experience supporting classified environments

Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Exchange administration experience

• Experience with AI-driven automation tools
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Nagios, or similar tools
• Experience with infrastructure documentation platforms
• SAFe/Agile experience
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Cloud exposure with AWS/Azure GovCloud is a plus

What You Need:

• Experience: 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Certifications: Active Security+ CE (or IAT Level II equivalent)
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Required
