Job description

The Information Systems Division works in collaboration with programs and county agencies, to provide solutions to systems that assist families access essentials such as, but not limited to, medical services, care providers, groceries, and transportation. The Information Technology Supervisor II is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations within the Web Application Bureau. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of the web applications, and providing technical support and guidance. The IT Supervisor II will work closely with other divisions to align IT strategies with organizational goals. + Supervise and mentor technical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.

  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex IT issues.
  • Develop and implement IT support procedures and documentation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant software regulations, policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set objectives, and address any personnel issues or conflicts.

  • The position requires incumbent to pass a Background Investigation prior to being hired. Requirements

Do you have experience in Web applications?, In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading application development and support using Microsoft technologies such as .NET, C#, and SQL Server.
  • 3+ years of experience in application testing, release management, and the development of IT standards.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing cloud-native solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in database design and development.
  • Strong experience in managing software deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with state administrative policies and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning.
  • Knowledge of governmental budgeting and the legislative process.
