Job description
We're looking for a unique IT Specialist who thrives at the intersection of creativity and technical problem-solving. This is not your standard IT role. We want someone who not only knows how to troubleshoot hardware and software but also enjoys building, tinkering, and coding on the side-someone who treats technology as both a craft and a playground.
This role combines hands-on IT support with process design and systems development. You'll ensure our day-to-day IT operations run smoothly, while also helping shape and build internal IT process flows and tools to support the growth of our company.
Responsibilities
IT Support & Operations
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals, networking gear).
- Provide first-line support for employees on software, accounts, and access management.
- Ensure system security, backups, and compliance standards are maintained.
Process & Systems Development
- Design and implement internal IT workflows and process documentation.
- Collaborate with different teams to build custom IT tools and automation in our internal software ecosystem.
- Help shape IT infrastructure as the company scales.
Creative Coding & Projects
- Use your coding skills (from garage projects, indie games, or side experiments) to bring creative solutions to IT challenges.
- Prototype and test new software tools that improve team productivity.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and suggest ways to integrate them into our stack.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Python?, * Strong background in IT support (hardware, software, networking, security).
- Hands-on coding experience (e.g., personal projects, game dev, automation scripts).
- Comfort building tools and workflows in internal systems (knowledge of APIs, databases, or low-code platforms is a plus).
- A tinkerer's mindset-you like solving problems by experimenting and testing.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- A balance of structured process-building and creative improvisation.
Bonus Points
- Experience with indie game development or creative coding projects.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.) for automation.
- Knowledge of IT best practices in scaling organizations.
- A "maker" attitude-you've built things just because you were curious to see if you could.
