Senior Design Engineer

Design custom 3D tooling solutions with design engineers, vendors, and internal teams. This role creates accurate CAD models, supports customer projects, and develops or maintains bills of materials for manufacturing readiness.

General Duties/Key Responsibilities:

Create, modify, and manage 3D CAD models and related design data.

Apply mechanical design principles, project management skills, and technical communication using modern design tools, including CAD software.

Communicate BOM and design changes clearly to Floor Supervisors through verbal and electronic communication.

Develop designs on tight deadlines while communicating directly with customers.

Work independently with minimal supervision to solve operational and technical challenges while managing time effectively.

Undergo product research.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a Trade school?, Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field.

At least ten years of related work experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Fluent in NX CAD, preferably 2 yrs or more.

Knowledge of mechanical drawings, design concepts and engineering materials (including strength of materials)

Strong experience working with Microsoft Office, especially with Excel and PowerPoint.

Understand the importance of business acumen and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

Be able to withstand being in a semi climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Must be able to go up and down stairs.

Be able to sit for long periods of time while working on a computer.

Alliance Innovations is a family owned and operated business that is currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer. We work four 10 hours shifts Monday thru Thursday. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Overtime may be scheduled on the weekends per business needs. We would prefer for this position to be filled on-site but we are open to doing either hybrid or remote. Sponsorships for visas are not approved for this role.
