Job description
A fast-growing technology-driven investment and financial services organization is seeking a senior-level Platform Engineer to join its Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering team. This group is responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available production and development environments that support critical business applications and client-facing platforms.
This role will focus on modern cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps practices, automation, and platform reliability within a high-growth engineering environment. The position works closely with software engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to improve developer experience, operational efficiency, and system resiliency.
Responsibilities
- Build and support highly available cloud infrastructure environments for enterprise applications and internal platforms
- Partner with security and engineering teams to address platform and CI/CD security initiatives
- Help drive DevSecOps best practices across development and deployment workflows
- Develop and maintain tooling for Linux and MacOS-based engineering environments
- Support site reliability initiatives focused on scalability, resiliency, observability, and uptime
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines, and operational processes
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes-based containerized environments
- Contribute to infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization efforts
- Support cloud-native application environments and distributed systems architectures
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and security tooling including SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning
- Experience supporting containerized microservices architectures using Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong Linux administration, scripting, and automation experience
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar technologies
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, Ruby, Java, or comparable languages
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Strong understanding of networking, distributed systems, system reliability, and performance optimization
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams
- Cloud certifications are considered a plus
- Previous experience supporting financial systems, trading environments, or low-latency platforms is highly preferred
