Job description

We are currently hiring an innovative and open-minded Data Solution Architect (f/m/d) to join our Data Mesh Enablement team.

Our team operates globally, empowering AllianzGI to unlock the full potential of its data through a cutting-edge data mesh data platform. With a mission to democratize data, we enable business-friendly, scalable, and self-serve data solutions. As part of a collaborative and cross-functional team, we are committed to fostering domain-oriented ownership, federated governance, and a culture of continuous innovation.

The position will be based in Frankfurt or Munich.

What you will do

  • Design scalable data architectures aligned with Data Mesh principles, focusing on domain-oriented ownership and self-serve capabilities
  • Develop and maintain conceptual and logical data models that enable seamless integration and interoperability across data products
  • Collaborate with domain teams to ensure federated governance and adherence to data quality, security, and compliance standards
  • Partner with data engineers and business analysts to deliver scalable, performant, and business-friendly data solutions
  • Drive best practices in data modelling, documentation, and metadata management to support self-service data consumption

Requirements

Do you have experience in Scrum?, * Graduate degree in Economics, Informatics or equivalent experience

  • Experience in asset management required
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, ontology design, or dimensional data modelling
  • Familiarity with Data Mesh principles, including domain-oriented design and federated governance
  • Experience with Databricks or similar technologies
  • Experience with working in an agile scrum setting is a plus
  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to explore new paths and work in international teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
  • Coding proficiency in SQL, Python, Pyspark
