Job description
We're looking for a Lead Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor to take ownership of our Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus delivery within the wider Cyber Security team at ITCS.
This role combines hands-on technical assessment work with process improvement, quality assurance, and mentorship responsibilities. You'll work closely with customers across a wide range of environments, helping them improve their security posture while ensuring assessments are delivered to a consistently high standard.
Alongside conducting assessments, you'll play a key role in shaping how ITCS delivers Cyber Essentials services as we continue to grow our Cyber Security department., · Conduct remote and on-site Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
· Perform vulnerability scanning and support customers through remediation requirements
· Produce clear, professional reports and customer guidance documentation
· Act as the final quality sign-off for Cyber Essentials certification submissions
· Work closely with the Support Department to ensure remediation and patching activities are completed effectively
· Help standardise and improve Cyber Essentials delivery processes across the business
· Support and mentor other assessors within the Cyber Security team
· Contribute to wider Cyber Security initiatives and customer support where required
Eligibility Criteria To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Be prepared to complete a DBS check as part of the induction process.
- Be based in the UK and able to attend the local ITCS office associated with this role.
- Have full right to work in the UK (we do not offer visa sponsorship).
- Provide accurate and verifiable employment history.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Information security?, · 3+ years' experience delivering Cyber Essentials and/or Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
· IASME Cyber Essentials Assessor qualification
· IASME Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor qualification
· Strong understanding of vulnerability management and remediation processes
· Experience working within Cyber Security, Information Security, compliance, or technical environments
· Confident communicating technical findings to both technical and non-technical customers
· Customer-focused mindset with strong organisation and communication skills
· One or more of the following certifications required:
CREST Registered Penetration Tester, * Cybersecurity: 2 years (required)
