Job description
We're a growing manufacturing business looking for a Graduate Applications Engineer who can use CAD, to join our expanding team. This is a perfect opportunity for someone early in their engineering career who wants to build experience in the areas of mechanical applications, design for manufacture and industrial engineering.
What you'll do
- The main responsibility is to complete factory CAD requests:
- Liaise with the Projects Team Leader and support by turning non-standard customer requirements into CAD models and production-ready drawings
- Complete engineering requests raised by the Factory Manager
- Support design updates and countermeasures to quality issues
- In addition, you will develop as an engineer by:
- Participating in quality investigations
- Work with the engineering team to develop our manufacturing methods
- Maintain manufacturing documentation to ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Design verification and validation work as required
Requirements
Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, * A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar
- Basic CAD skills (preferably SolidWorks)
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with different teams
