Job description
To be part of the test development team to develop test solutions to be utilised for in-house production facilities and contract manufacturers in the UK and aboard, the testing of PCBAs and finished Product is paramount to the quality of our output.
Key Duties:
- To research, determine and develop appropriate test equipment solutions suitable for new products.
- Ability to debug /fault find to component level on Analogue/Digital circuit boards, to component level.
- To develop appropriate software and test programs appropriate to the test systems used and products being manufactured.
- Work and communicate with Research & Development to ensure testing is effective; considering changes in technology used in products.
- Using data from current processes to develop improved systems and testing aimed at reducing poor quality products reaching customers (internal and external).
- Support any contract manufacture (UK and worldwide) or other group companies in training staff, developing systems and supporting / maintaining equipment
- Maintain existing test equipment.
- To communicate problems to supervision and engineering staff.
- To work within the Health and Safety policy of the company.
- To work with their fellow workers in the interests of harmony and to achieve company aims.
- To observe company rules/procedures.
- To be flexible (multi-skilled) to the needs of the business in doing a variety of tasks.
- Any other task commensurate with this role.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Visual Basic?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Development and design of test equipment (hardware) for industrial / manufacturing applications. (CAD (3D, PCB, Schematic)
- Knowledge of computer language (i.e. Visual Basic, C#, C++, LabVIEW, Windows OS, MySQL, PHP, HTML, Java script, GIT)
- Electronic / Audio equipment testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a good understanding of electronic and mechanical drawings.
- Documentation of test procedures, processes, and documentation for test development projects., * You must have a minimum HND/Degree in Electronics Engineering, * Production experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
- High level of technical competence coupled with strong problem-solving skills
- Highly focused, self-motivated, and proactive with the capability to work alone or in a team environment.
- Understanding and ability to diagnose digital audio processing circuitry.
- Analytical, keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Willing to do what it takes
- Able to change focus and direction quickly upon request.
- Knowledge of the best practice manufacturing techniques would be advantage
