Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and highly practical IT Support Administrator to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining smooth local IT operations and providing crucial on-site support to our employees. The ideal candidate is a hands-on generalist with strong hardware skills, comfortable with troubleshooting and deployment, and capable of acting as the crucial on-site representative for our remote IT partners., * Hardware Management & Deployment: Take full responsibility for the setup, configuration, and deployment of new laptops and desktop PCs for all staff members.
- Local Troubleshooting: Provide timely and effective in-office troubleshooting and technical support for end-user IT issues related to hardware, operating systems, and basic applications.
- IT Infrastructure Maintenance: Manage and maintain all local physical hardware assets, including workstations, company laptops, monitors, and printers.
- Remote Hands Support: Serve as the designated on-site "remote hands" for our outsourced IT vendor. This involves assisting with physical tasks related to security equipment, firewalls, and networking gear (including switches) under the direction of the remote team.
- Inventory & Documentation: Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT equipment and document local IT procedures and configurations.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical Proficiency?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an IT support, desktop support, or system administrator role.
- Education: Requires technical education (e.g., technical certifications or vocational training). A college degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proven ability to configure, install, and troubleshoot PC and laptop hardware and peripherals.
- Adequate skills to manage local office hardware, including basic support for printers, monitors, and network switches.
- Proficiency in administering common operating systems and standard office applications.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal communication, customer service skills, and a strong problem-solving orientation. Must be reliable and organized to effectively coordinate with a remote IT team., * hands-on : 3 years (Required)
