Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our growing IT infrastructure team in Cleveland, Ohio. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless technologies, and network security in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
  • Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues in a timely manner
  • Perform network upgrades, patches, and firmware updates
  • Maintain and improve network security, including firewall policies and access controls
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to support infrastructure projects
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Support disaster recovery and backup connectivity solutions
  • Provide Tier II/III network support to internal users and IT staff
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed

Requirements

Do you have experience in Teamwork?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols
  • Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Palo Alto, or similar networking technologies
  • Familiarity with firewalls, network monitoring tools, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level network environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or Fortinet certifications are strongly preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud networking environments (Azure or AWS)
  • Knowledge of wireless infrastructure and VoIP systems
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies and SD-WAN
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Scripting or automation experience with PowerShell or Python is a plus
