UL Test Lab Engineer

• Design complex mechanical tests as required by section manager.
• Build or supervise the building of complex mechanical test fixtures and equipment as required by product and project engineers.
• To instruct technicians to assist in the aforementioned work as required by section manager.
• Provide concise and logical reports of test work together with photographs if required.
• Provide analytical data using analyzers, computers and other equipment.
• Investigate manufacturing problems.
• Investigate field return problems.
• To aid in the selection and purchase of major equipment as required by the laboratory.
• To assist and aid manufacturing in the resolution of problems arising during day-to-day operation.

Required: * B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Five years as a mechanical test engineer, 2 years of which should be associated with power tools or small electro mechanical mechanisms.

Preferred: * Computer literate.
