Job description

Would you like to join our experienced geographic information systems team to support our web mapping applications? We are seeking an individual at an entry level to work with our senior technicians to develop and maintain our GIS data for our geoAdvantage products. You will also work with our senior developers to update our expansive data integration systems using SQL Server. You will be part of an experienced team challenged with integrating and managing large disparate data sets across multiple sources. You will also be involved with the mapping group in fine tuning existing databases and Geodatabases. This is an opportunity to develop your skills and receive constructive feedback from our talented team while fostering your career growth., * Comprehend procurement process of geospatial and non-spatial data from varied sources by working with existing procurement staff

  • Develop and update geospatial data and non-spatial data for support of geoAdvantage and future applications
  • Works closely with other GIS technicians and developers in processing geospatial and associated data for integration into multiple databases and tables within Microsoft SQL Server
  • Responsible for data refreshing on ESRI Spatial Data Engine (SDE) geodatabases for across ArcServers and insures integration with and accuracy for active published maps on ESRI ArcServer throughout the multiple existing systems
  • Work with other GIS technicians, the business development group, and the software group in client related needs for data manipulation, data creation or special processing to satisfy requests
  • Maintain guidelines for quality assurance on all data
  • Stay current with knowledge of enterprise GIS technologies and stay apprised of developments in the field through relevant training, literature review and other related formats
  • Pursue opportunities for new product development through scientific methods working with the business development group and the software group
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * United States Citizenship

  • Must be able to work full time in office located in Liberty Lake WA
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Must be able to work independently and in a group setting
  • Mandatory proficiency with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Access and Excel
  • Knowledge of and experience with Geographic Information Systems theory and Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) software is required
  • Python experience Helpful
