Job description
Join a fast-moving, multi-disciplinary team where innovative, hands-on engineers turn ideas into manufacturable electronics. As an Embedded Systems Hardware Engineer, you will take ownership across the full product lifecycle-conceiving architectures, building and debugging prototypes, and preparing robust designs for production., * Select components with a sharp eye on performance, cost, and availability-navigating sourcing tradeoffs early.
- Capture schematics and execute multilayer PCB layouts in CAD (Altium preferred), including controlled-impedance data buses.
- Hand-solder and assemble quick-turn prototypes; bring boards up using an oscilloscope, meter, and other lab tools.
- Write test plans, run experiments, and present findings with easy-to-read graphs in Excel.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers using 3D PCB CAD data to ensure seamless electromechanical integration.
- Prepare clean fabrication and assembly packages and partner with contract manufacturers for smooth builds.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Microcontrollers?, * You are a U.S. citizen with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or similar field) and 3-6+ years of electronic product development experience.
- You thrive on designing, prototyping, and debugging-confidently soldering, assembling, inspecting, and troubleshooting your own boards.
- You learn fast, adopt new technologies readily, collaborate across disciplines, and quickly identify unknowns to de-risk programs.
- You communicate clearly-articulating approach and impact in presentations, test reports, specifications, and visuals.
- You work comfortably across digital and analog domains and track BOM cost and supply health as you design.
- You have experience with embedded 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers (STM32 and Microchip preferred).
- You are fluent in schematic capture and PCB layout using CAD tools (Altium preferred) and have laid out controlled-impedance, multilayer boards.
- You understand electronics manufacturing processes-especially PCB fabrication/assembly-and can deliver complete vendor-ready packages., * Altium (or similar) for schematic and PCB design; 3D PCB data for mechanical collaboration
- MCUs across 8/16/32-bit families (STM32, Microchip)
- DFM/DFT practices and documentation for CMs, * Project Management
- Electrical Schematics
- PCB Assembly (Printed Circuit Board Assembly)
- PCB Components (Printed Circuit Board Components)
- Electrical Systems Diagnostics & Repair
- CAD Software
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Product Design Experience
- Hi-Pot (High Potential) / High Voltage Testing
- PLC Programming Experience
- PLC Wiring Experience
- Electrical / Electronic Systems
- High Voltage Systems
- Electrical Schematic Reading
- Engineering Degree
- Sourcing and Procurement Experience
