Job description

Anivas Tech is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support our government agency IT operations. We are looking for a skilled professional with 3+ years of relevant experience who brings strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a mission-driven, high-visibility environment. Requirements:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for government agency applications
  • Manage and optimize cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or equivalent)
  • Implement and maintain container orchestration solutions using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability; respond to and resolve infrastructure incidents
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to embed DevSecOps practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle
  • Manage version control systems, artifact repositories, and environment configuration management
  • Support and continuously improve deployment strategies including blue/green, canary, and rolling deployments
  • Conduct capacity planning and performance optimization for cloud and hybrid infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain observability tooling including logging, metrics, and tracing solutions
  • Ensure all infrastructure and pipeline configurations comply with federal security and compliance requirements
  • US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 5 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree

  • 3+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience in a production environment
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes or OpenShift)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one IaC tool (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and managed services
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis on infrastructure failures
  • Experience in a federal government or FedRAMP-compliant cloud environment
  • Agile, SAFe, or DevSecOps methodology experience
  • Experience with SIEM, vulnerability scanning, or security automation tools
  • Relevant certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 security controls and ATO processes
