Job description

Open Systems Technologies Corporation is looking for a Windows Systems Administrator to join our high performing cyber team in support of a large government enterprise environment. Responsibilities Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to sit for the CI Poly

  • Requires BS or BA degree

  • 5-year overall experience in the areas of Windows Systems Administration

  • Experience with Splunk installation, configuration and support

  • Microsoft Windows, Active Directory (R) Support Experience

  • Understanding of NIST 800 series publications and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance. Preferred Skills: Having the following tools experience and/or certifications:

  • Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

  • VMware Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • VMWare vSphere 7 experience (P)

  • Cisco Networking (P)

  • Dell Server, and SAN Storage hardware experience (P)

  • Familiarity with system accreditation and authorization and the FBI's ATO processes

  • Experience evaluating, documenting, and managing NIST 800-53 control implementations (P)

  • Experience with GRC tools (RiskVision, Xacta and JCAM) (P)
