Job description

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary. Researches, analyzes, compares and applies solutions to many technical issues in our environment as it pertains to CyberSecurity and the operational systems of the airport; creates and revises documentation as required for compliance; researches technical problems and/or vendor responses to issues of moderate to high complexity; documents information of assigned incidents and resolutions. Opens trouble tickets and coordinates with coworkers to resolve the issue; installs configure computer, software, hardware, and network communications, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and network problems as directed by Information Systems Management. Inventories computer equipment as part of operation technology system documentation requirements; verifies installations and configurations of computer equipment as it pertains to CyberSecurity compliance. Meets with Information Systems Staff to discuss and escalate any known issues. In addition, responsibilities may include: Provides technical support to users who are experiencing hardware and/or software issues. Updates and upgrades operating system, application software on computers and servers; deploys new computers and servers to replace those broken and/or out of warranty. Researches, analyzes, compares and applies solutions to many technical issues in our environment; creates and revises procedural documentation for installation of many third party software used; researches technical problems of moderate to high complexity; documents information of assigned incidents and resolutions. Inventories computer equipment as part of annual hardware replacement project; installs and configures computer equipment as a part of the annual hardware replacement project; prepares systems for staff and public use. Opens trouble tickets and coordinates with coworkers to resolve the issue; installs configure computer, software, hardware, and network communications, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and network problems. WORK ENVIRONMENT Physical Demands Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement. Performs medium work that involves walking, standing, stooping or lifting all of the time and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or exceptional skill, adeptness, and speed in the use of fingers, hands, or limbs in tasks involving very close tolerances or limits of accuracy. Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment) Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken. Involves routine and frequent exposure to electrical shocks. Requirements

Requires a two (2) year degree from an accredited trade, technical or vocational school, college or university with major coursework in computer science or closely related field. (One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.) Requires two (2) years in supporting users and analyzing computer systems relevant to area of assignment or closely related experience. Special Certifications and Licenses Possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver's License based on area of assignment. Must be able to obtain/maintain Airport security & customs badging.
