Job description

Join a high-impact engineering team supporting enterprise financial crime and risk management platforms. This role focuses on maintaining, enhancing, and developing core systems within the NICE Actimize ecosystem (ActOne & STAR), utilized for case management and financial crime detection.

You will work in a production environment delivering BAU support, system enhancements, and new development across Java-based applications hosted in AWS. This is a hands-on role requiring strong backend development, configuration expertise, and collaboration within an 11-12 person agile team., * Support and enhance enterprise financial crime applications within the ActOne/Optimize platform used for case management and risk detection.

  • Perform day-to-day BAU support for production systems, including troubleshooting, fixes, and performance improvements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based web applications supporting financial crime workflows and case management processes.
  • Configure ActOne case management functionality using ActOne Designer and Visual Modeler to support business requirements.
  • Develop custom enhancements and new features aligned with business and compliance needs.
  • Write and maintain scripts (Shell, Python, or similar) to support automation, data processing, and operational workflows.
  • Work with Oracle databases, leveraging SQL for reporting and data analysis (no heavy development required).
  • Participate in CI/CD processes using internal DevOps platforms to build, test, and deploy applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance, risk, and engineering to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to backend-heavy development efforts (~50% new development, ~30% development, ~20% configuration).

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems & applications support?, * Must have 5+ years of experience in Java development (Spring Boot or similar frameworks preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with NICE Actimize (ActOne, STAR, or similar financial crime/case management platforms).
  • Strong experience working with Oracle databases and SQL for data querying and reporting.
  • Experience supporting and enhancing production systems (BAU + ongoing enhancements).
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Python, or similar).
  • Experience working in AWS cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Unix and/or Windows platforms.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of backend development and system integrations., * Experience in financial services, AML, or financial crime systems.
  • Familiarity with case management platforms and workflow configuration tools.
  • Experience working in Agile environments supporting enterprise-scale applications.
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud-native development.
