Job description

Anivas Tech is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support our government agency IT operations. We are looking for a skilled professional with 6+ years of relevant experience who brings strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a mission-driven, high-visibility environment. Requirements:

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP supporting government agency mission requirements
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep to automate provisioning and configuration
  • Implement cloud networking, security controls, and identity/access management aligned with federal security and compliance standards
  • Support cloud cost optimization efforts through right-sizing, reserved capacity planning, and tagging/governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to build secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures
  • Monitor cloud environments and respond to infrastructure incidents, ensuring availability SLAs are met
  • Lead or support cloud migration efforts, including assessment, planning, and execution of workload migrations
  • Maintain and improve cloud security posture in alignment with FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST SP 800-53 requirements
  • Develop technical documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Participate in architecture reviews and provide technical recommendations for new cloud service adoption
  • US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Requirements

Do you have experience in Virtual Private Clouds?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 5 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree

  • 6+ years of cloud engineering experience in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
  • Experience with cloud networking, VPCs, load balancing, DNS, and hybrid connectivity
  • Knowledge of cloud security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, or equivalents)
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience in a FedRAMP-authorized cloud environment or federal government IT program
  • Relevant cloud certification (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)
  • Agile, SAFe, or DevSecOps methodology experience
  • Experience with cloud cost management platforms (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and cloud-native security tooling
