Web Design Consultant

You will be expected to carry out a combination of the following:

• End to end web design: design and deliver web solutions from initial concept through to implementation, ensuring alignment with business and user requirements; develop program specifications and high level design outputs for delivery.
• User research & requirements gathering: work with internal stakeholders to gather, analyse and document requirements, translating these into structured design outputs; verify requirements and ensure solutions meet business and system objectives.
• Interface and UX design: develop responsive, accessible and user focused interfaces, ensuring high standards of usability and design consistency; contribute to optimisation of user journeys and application usability.
• Development collaboration: work with developers and technical teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively; support change implementation and ongoing enhancements.
• Testing & optimisation: review, test and refine web outputs to identify issues, improve performance and ensure reliability; support execution of system testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and manage identified defects.
• Documentation & continuous improvement: produce clear design documentation and contribute to ongoing system enhancements and optimisation; develop user guides, training materials, support handover documentation and FAQs for operational teams.

Do you have experience in Web design?, * Demonstrable experience in web design within a commercial or project based environment.

• Experience delivering end to end design work, including requirements gathering, design and testing stages.
• Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and interface design principles.
• Experience working collaboratively with development teams and structured delivery processes.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Desirable

• Experience working with testing frameworks or structured delivery environments.
• Experience within FinTech or regulated digital environments.
• Knowledge of front end tools, frameworks or design systems.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and secure design practices.
