Job description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join our Test Services team within Group Technology & Change. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of our systems, supporting the delivery of new and enhanced technology solutions across Royal London.

Reporting to a Technical Lead or Lead Test Analyst, you'll take ownership of complex testing activities, using your technical expertise to design, execute and improve both functional and non-functional testing. You'll also support and mentor other Test Analysts, helping to raise standards and capability across the team.

This is a hands-on role with opportunities to influence testing strategy, introduce improvements and work closely with delivery teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.

About the role

  • Analysing functional and non-functional requirements to define robust testing approaches

  • Designing and executing reusable manual and automated test scripts and regression packs

  • Planning, estimating and scheduling test activities across delivery phases

  • Specifying requirements for test environments, data, tools and resources

  • Executing complex tests, recording outcomes and maintaining clear traceability back to requirements

  • Identifying, diagnosing and reporting defects, working closely with delivery teams to resolve issues

  • Producing test progress, quality and risk reports, supported by meaningful metrics

  • Reviewing test results and refining tests where required.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Test management tools?, * In-depth knowledge of functional and non-functional testing techniques

  • Experience using automated test tools and understanding where automation adds most value

  • Familiarity with test management, defect management and diagnostic tools

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and adapt to changing requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high quality standards

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to agreed timescales

  • A collaborative approach, with confidence supporting and mentoring others

  • Specialist knowledge in at least one technology, business area or test automation tool.
