A Graduate Product Design Engineer who contributes to the creation and refinement of thoughtful, user-focused products through a balance of creative design thinking and solid engineering principles. In this role, you will support the full product development journey-exploring concepts, developing detailed designs, building prototypes, and validating solutions through testing. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll help ensure designs are technically sound, manufacturable, and aligned with user needs and project goals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your technical expertise, strengthen your design capabilities, and make meaningful contributions within a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team developing products for our external customers.

  • You will be developing mechanical solutions for a range of products in the healthcare and consumer sectors.

  • You will be involved in all aspects of product development - from concept generation, developing prototypes, running tests, and supporting development to full-scale manufacturing.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, Technical Skills

  • 3D CAD proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360) for modelling parts and assemblies.
  • Strong Prototyping skills using both rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting) and hands-on workshop techniques.
  • Solid engineering fundamentals (mechanics, materials, manufacturing).
  • Understanding of user-centred design principles.
  • Basic testing and validation skills.
  • Ability to create clear technical drawings (incl. basic GD&T).
  • Basic Understanding of DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacture & Assembly).

Creative & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Concept generation and sketching.
  • Creative and iterative mindset with strong attention to detail.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Clear communication of ideas and design rationale.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Personal Attributes

  • Proactive, hands-on, and eager to learn.

  • Adaptable and positively engaged with feedback and iteration., * A degree in Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.
