- Lead Service Excellence: Being a part of our engineering team requires an understanding and assistance with delivering world-class managed services to our clients, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
- Customer Service Management: Discuss directly with client executives and end-users to assist with solving IT challenges.
- Maintain Internal and Client Enterprise Systems: Ensureall internal and client systems are up to date (BIOS, Firmware) and perform required OS/Image level upgrades with other team members.
- Drive Project Success: Oversee and implement client-facing IT projects (migrations, deployments, upgrades, security rollouts) to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
- Innovate & Grow: Assist with expanded offerings in cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and AI-driven solutions.
- Build & Inspire Teams: Lead and mentor a high-performing technical team, cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and client-first service.
- Be a Trusted Partner: Collaborate directly with clients and the executive team to align IT strategy with business growth.
- Perform Vital Escalation Services: Work with internal/external helpdesk/engineers and various clients that need direct Executive facing technical challenges.
Technical Expertise We Value
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on knowledge across a range of MSP technologies and frameworks, including:
- Cloud & Productivity: Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange Online, SharePoint, MS SQL, Teams, Intune (preferred).
- Infrastructure: Server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory/Azure AD, DNS/DHCP.
- Networking: Firewall configuration, VPNs, VLANs, routing, switching, and SD-WAN.
- Cybersecurity: Endpoint protection (MDR), SIEM, MFA, email security, compliance frameworks (NIST, CMMC, HIPAA, SOC2).
- Automation & Tools: RMM/PSA platforms, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and IT process automation.
- Backup & Continuity: Disaster recovery, business continuity planning (Datto, Veeam, Acronis).
- Emerging Tech: AI and automation integration into service delivery, cloud-native security, Zero Trust models., You will provide on-site and remote support services to our clients. You are expected to, * Hyper-V Design, Deployment and Configuration: Design, develop, setup and configure Hyper-V hosts, virtual machines, and clusters (preferably in a multi-tenant environment)
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune virtualization performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource allocation
- Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, manage access controls, and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain backup solutions, disaster recovery plans, and failover strategies
- Capacity Planning: Assess resource requirements, plan for growth, and scale the virtual environment as needed
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
MICROSOFT AZURE/MS365:
· Azure Infrastructure Management: Administer and manage the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security
· Solution Design and Deployment: Design, develop, and implement highly available solutions within Microsoft Azure
· Continuous Improvement: Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and governance to identify and implement improvements
· Data Protection and Security: Implement policy-driven data protection best practices to safeguard cloud and Hyper-V solutions
· Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams/colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
· Client/Project Communication: Communicate as necessary/required with internal team members and directly to client as needed., You will work primarily remote; however, there is a potential for days to be worked from our InfoTech headquarters in Rockville, Maryland & site visits to client sites in the Washington, DC metro area (local travel is a must).
Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM with after-hours work for (projects & break/fix) required.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 10+ years of IT leadership, ideally in an MSP or IT consulting environment.
- Proven expertise across multiple technical domains with the ability to set direction and roll up sleeves when needed.
- Strong understanding of managed services models, SLAs, and recurring revenue delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale IT projects and deliver measurable outcomes.
- A growth mindset-balancing strategic vision with a hands-on leadership style.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and engage with clients., Five years plus (5+) Hyper-V virtualization (preferably in a multi-tenant environment) & Azure cloud infrastructure support
Ten years plus (10+) providing Microsoft systems engineering support
Any Kaseya product knowledge is a HUGE PLUS!, Experience providing professional and extensive IT support with:
· Working knowledge, of all of the following, areas as it pertains to designing, configuring, implementing & troubleshooting:
o Hyper-V, clustering, multi-tenant configurations, SCVM, HGS
o SAN experience with EMC, Dell EqualLogic, HP and/or NetApp
o MS365 Cloud services including, but not limited to:
§ Implementations/Migrations/Management/Recommendations (Email, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.)
§ Cloud security (MDM/Intune/MFA, IDP, DLP, etc.)
o ADFS integrations with Azure
o Microsoft Windows 2012/2016/2019/2022 Server with a high-level understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD connections
· Superior problem-resolution skills
· Understanding of and experience working in an IT consulting environment supporting a wide range of clients, vertical markets (healthcare, finance, non-profit) with different levels of technology
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment support multiple customers at once
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, including an ability to deal with people at various levels, from technician to executive
· Self-starter and highly motivated
· Strong track record in leading a technical team and in building client relationships
· Ability to weigh options and provide the most efficient and cost-effective solution from several options
· Experience providing consulting to clients, with the right balance of initiative and following instructions
· References that demonstrate these characteristics
· Ability to understand and categorize technical problems
· Remote and on-site problem-resolution skills
· Strong ability to build client and peer relationships
Education/Training/Certifications:
Microsoft certification for Server 2022/2025 systems + Azure Solutions REQUIRED!
Bachelor's degree DESIRED
