Job description
SeeWriteHear is seeking an experienced and versatile IT Support & Systems Associate II to help support and maintain our hybrid technology environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on employee support with systems and infrastructure administration in a small but complex IT environment.
As part of a lean IT team, this position will provide direct help desk support to staff while also assisting with the administration and improvement of our on-premises and Azure-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate is technically capable, dependable, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple areas of IT operations.
This role requires someone who can think critically, troubleshoot effectively, communicate clearly with non-technical users, and work carefully within production systems and infrastructure., User Support & Endpoint Management
- Provide responsive day-to-day IT support for employees across the organization
- Troubleshoot workstation, printer, connectivity, application, and account access issues
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, virtual machines, and peripheral devices
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning and equipment setup
- Manage workstation imaging, patching, updates, and endpoint configurations
- Maintain accurate hardware inventory and asset lifecycle tracking
- Support specialty hardware and operational devices such as printers, embossers, scanners, and disc production equipment
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Assist with administration of on-premises Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Azure environments
- Support Windows Server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and network-connected systems
- Maintain user permissions, group policies, security configurations, and endpoint management policies
- Assist with backup monitoring, infrastructure maintenance, and system reliability initiatives
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and technology improvement projects
- Support and troubleshoot virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments where applicable
Vendor & Project Coordination
- Work with external IT vendors, managed service providers, and technology partners
- Assist with hardware procurement, warranty management, and replacement planning
- Support implementation and deployment of new hardware, software, and infrastructure solutions
- Participate in operational and infrastructure-related projects across the organization
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Document systems, procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting processes
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency
- Assist with standardization and long-term improvements to IT processes and systems
- Help automate repetitive administrative tasks where appropriate, This position offers the opportunity to work across many areas of IT in a collaborative environment where your contributions will have a direct impact. Preferred Technical Experience
Experience in several of the following areas is preferred:
- IT support or systems administration experience in a small or mid-sized business environment
- Windows Server administration
- Microsoft 365 and Azure administration
- Active Directory and Group Policy management
- Endpoint management and workstation deployment
- Hyper-V, virtualization, or VDI environments
- Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
- Hardware troubleshooting and peripheral device support
- Backup and recovery processes
- General cloud infrastructure experience (Azure preferred)
