Job description
MN, (Minneapolis/St. Paul area) office or remotely in the United States. Primary responsibilities of this position include
supporting client projects with Esri Utility Network implementations and data migration activities. The position will work
in a team environment with project managers, GIS technicians/analysts, consultants, architects, developers, offshore
technical resources, and clients to support a variety of GIS projects.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Workshop facilitation?, For senior-level consideration candidates should possess extensive experience in GIS consulting services and/or utility
company operations involving GIS data across one or more energy and utility sectors, including electric, gas, water,
wastewater, and telecommunications, with experience in multiple sectors preferred.
- Experience in the following areas: end user needs assessments, GIS analysis, spatial data testing and QA/QC,
business process analysis, system implementation planning, testing, installation, training, and deployment
- Research, assess, integrate, manipulate, extract, and analyze spatial data for both geospatial and operational
databases, as well as various ancillary sources
- Experience in dealing with multiple and disparate sources for spatial data conversion, migration, and
conflation
- Experience with database analysis and design, as well as data assessment and integration of large utility data
sets
- Esri Utility Network and Geometric Network data modeling experience is strongly desired
- Assist with analysis, design, and functional specification documentation
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, AutoCAD, and Web Services
- Experience with database management systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA
- Knowledge of utility applications (e.g., EAM, WMS, OMS, ADMS, etc.)
- Proficiency with Python development
- Experience with electric, gas, water, wastewater, and telecommunications utility business and operations
- Experience developing reports and presentations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Facilitate customer meetings and workshops
Experience and Education Required
- Experience: Five years of post-academic experience in GIS applications and/or data management with direct
experience in the energy and utility industry sectors of electric power, gas, water, wastewater, and telecom
- Education: Bachelor's or master's in computer science, GIS, cartography/geography, engineering, or a related
field
