Business Intelligence & Data Analyst

The Business Intelligence & Data Analyst is responsible for delivering structured, accurate, and actionable data insights across Skyborne Airline Academy, with a primary focus on student progression, resource utilization, and operational performance.

The role will develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into training flow, scheduling efficiency, and capacity management. This position enables leadership to proactively identify risks, improve planning discipline, and ensure data integrity across all core systems.

Objectives:

• Provide clear visibility of student progression across all training programs

• Deliver accurate reporting on instructor, aircraft, and simulator utilization

• Ensure data integrity across FlightLogger, Aeroplanned, and internal systems

• Support leadership with decision-ready dashboards and reporting

• Enable early identification of delays, risks, and operational constraints

• Establish a single source of truth across operational data

3. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Student Progress & Training Visibility

• Develop and maintain dashboards tracking student progression across all training phases

• Provide visibility into at-risk students and escalation triggers

• Support OCC and Training with progression tracking and intervention insight

Resource & Operational Visibility

• Build dashboards for instructor, aircraft, and simulator utilization

• Analyze capacity versus demand across scheduling horizons

• Identify inefficiencies including underutilization, conflicts, and gaps

• Support forward planning with data-driven insight

KPI & Leadership Reporting

• Develop and maintain standardized KPI dashboards across departments

• Deliver concise, decision-ready reporting to leadership

• Support monthly and ad hoc reporting with clear performance insights

Data Management & Systems

• Extract, validate, and manage data from FlightLogger, Aeroplanned, Salesforce, and finance systems

• Ensure consistency and accuracy across all platforms

• Identify and resolve data discrepancies

• Support development of structured data environments and pipelines

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Operations, Training, Scheduling, and Student Progress teams

• Act as the link between systems, data, and operational information provision

• Support continuous improvement initiatives with data-led information

• Enable stakeholder adoption of dashboards and reporting tools, Uphold safety and compliance standards across global operations. Ensure all regional HR practices reflect aviation regulatory bodies' requirements. Maintain role within the company's Emergency Response Plan and incident communications protocol.

Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Required

• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development

• Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent BI tools

• Advanced Excel capability

• Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases

• Ability to manage and interpret data from multiple systems

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

• Ability to translate data into clear operational insight

Preferred

• Experience with Python for data processing, Power BI or ETL

• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS

• Understanding of GraphQL or equivalent Query Language for API

• Experience with operational and/or scheduling data

• Exposure to aviation, education, or regulated environment

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field

• Equivalent practical experience will be considered
