If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about network engineering, we want to hear from you!, * Monitor and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and SAN (Storage Area Network) systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, Cisco ASA firewalls, Meraki solutions, and other networking hardware.
- Implement and manage network security measures including IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems), Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), and encryption protocols like SSL/TLS.
- Support network installation projects involving Ethernet cabling, wireless access points, VPN setup, DNS configuration, DHCP management, and IP networking architecture.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like SolarWinds or Splunk; perform system hardening and patch management across diverse operating systems including Windows, Linux distributions such as Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu, openSUSE, Solaris, BSD variants; utilize scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell for automation.
- Assist in designing high availability solutions utilizing VMware vSphere/ESXi environments or Hyper-V; support virtualization platforms such as Citrix or VirtualBox to optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams following ITIL best practices within an Agile development framework to deliver reliable network support and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience in computer networking with a strong understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; familiarity with MPLS networks and SDLC processes.
- Hands-on knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, IPsec; experience configuring VLANs, QoS policies, NAT/PAT; proficiency with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or PRTG.
- Solid background in system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server environments and various Linux distributions; experience with system hardening techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure; experience managing virtualized environments using VMware vSphere or Citrix is highly desirable.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Shell Scripting for automation tasks; knowledge of DevOps practices is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform vulnerability assessments and implement effective security measures using tools like SFTP/FTP/HTTPS for secure data transfer.
