Job description
The SAP Practice Head will be responsible for owning, scaling, and transforming the SAP practice across traditional SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and RISE with SAP engagements.
This role combines technology leadership, delivery excellence, P&L ownership, and go to market collaboration.
The individual will act as a trusted advisor to clients, drive SAP modernization programs, and build a future ready SAP capability aligned with hyperscalers and SAP's cloud roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice & P&L Ownership

Own end to end SAP Practice P&L, including revenue growth, margins, utilization, and cost optimization.

Define practice strategy and roadmap across ECC support, S/4HANA migrations, RISE with SAP, and AMS.

Build annual operating plans, headcount plans, and capability investments.
- Delivery & Program Leadership
- Ensure high quality delivery across:
o SAP ECC (all core modules)
o SAP S/4HANA (Greenfield, Brownfield, Landscape transformation)
o RISE with SAP engagements
- Oversee large, complex SAP programs including:
o Implementations
o Conversions
o Rollouts
o Managed Services (AMS)
- Drive delivery governance, risk management, and client satisfaction (CSAT).
- SAP Technology & Architecture Leadership
- Provide thought leadership across:
o SAP ECC * S/4HANA transition strategies
o RISE with SAP commercial and technical models
o SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Fiori, and Cloud ALM
- Guide clients on:
o Transformation approach selection
o Business case creation
o Phased vs. big bang migrations
- Partner with SAP and hyperscalers (AWS/Azure/GCP) on joint opportunities.
- Go To Market & Pre Sales
- Work closely with Sales, Client Partners, and Marketing to:
o Shape SAP deals
o Respond to RFPs
o Build differentiated solution offerings

Act as executive sponsor / solution authority in large pursuits.

Create industry specific SAP offerings and value propositions.
- Talent & Capability Building
- Build and scale high performing SAP teams across:
o Functional (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, WM, EWM, PM, HR, etc.)
o Technical (ABAP, BASIS, Security, Integration)
- Drive:
o Hiring strategy
o Skill transformation from ECC to S/4HANA
o Certification programs
o Leadership bench and succession planning
- Mentor senior SAP leaders, architects, and delivery managers.
- Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as executive level interface for key SAP clients.

Build long term strategic relationships with CIOs, CTOs, COOs, and business leaders.

Proactively identify account expansion and transformation opportunities.
Requirements
-
18+ years of SAP experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role managing large SAP practices or portfolios.

Proven experience across:
o SAP ECC (multi module)
o SAP S/4HANA transformations
o RISE with SAP programs
- Strong background in IT services / system integrator environment.
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Deep understanding of:
o SAP ECC and S/4HANA architectures
o RISE with SAP commercial and technical constructs
o SAP AMS models
- Exposure to:
o SAP BTP
o Integration (PI/PO, CPI)
o Security & GRC
o Cloud infrastructure and operations

Preferred Qualifications

SAP certifications (S/4HANA, Architecture, or Functional)
