Job description
We are seeking an Entry-Level Field Network Technician to join our service team supporting the Portland, OR area. This is a field-based role with a possible territory near you, as we service Portland and surrounding communities.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Communication skills?, * Knowledge of network connectivity, network security, and Wi-Fi environments
- Working understanding of Windows environments and common operating systems
- Ability to work with a wide range of customers and vendors (technical and non-technical)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to gather and clarify technical information
- Proactive, solutions-oriented problem solver
- Ability to travel locally to client sites
- Comfortable communicating via phone, email, and written documentation, * Previous network or field experience preferred but not required
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, ports, SMTP, FTP, SMB, etc.)
- Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft applications
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (must be 21 or older)
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with Mac OS environments
- CompTIA Network+ certification
- Experience working alongside IT professionals
