Job description

The consultant will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current ERP environment, evaluate business and technical requirements, identify system gaps, and recommend future ERP modernization strategies. The role includes stakeholder engagement, business process analysis, ERP market evaluation, roadmap development, and procurement readiness support. Key Responsibilities Phase One - Current State Assessment Assess existing ERP applications, modules, integrations, and architecture. Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process mapping sessions. Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and pain points. Evaluate reporting, analytics, scalability, and security capabilities. Perform cost analysis and long-term ERP sustainability assessment. Review regulatory, labor union, and compliance-related ERP impacts. Deliver SWOT analysis, gap analysis, and modernization recommendations. Phase Two - Future State Design & Strategy Define future-state ERP requirements and optimized workflows. Conduct ERP solution and market capability reviews. Develop requirements matrices and implementation roadmaps. Evaluate ERP modernization options including upgrade, optimization, or replacement. Support procurement readiness through Scope of Work (SOW) preparation. Recommend implementation sequencing, governance, and change management strategies. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

Proven experience conducting ERP assessments and ERP strategy engagements. Strong knowledge of ERP platforms such as Oracle ERP, SAP, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Infor. Experience working with government agencies or public sector organizations. Expertise in business process analysis, IT architecture, ERP implementation strategy, and change management. Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills. Ability to provide unbiased and vendor-neutral ERP recommendations. Preferred Skills ERP modernization and digital transformation experience. Public transportation or government operations domain knowledge. Experience preparing procurement and implementation documentation. Strong analytical and presentation capabilities.
