Systems Engineer

M1 Technology are currently seeking a talented Systems Engineer who will be responsible for the applications infrastructure across all networks, technical support to make application security compliant. This team member will also be responsible for tech precepts implementation and contractually responsible to be part of a 24/7 on call rotation.

As a core member of the development team, you'll help innovate, optimize, and transform the digital landscape with your technical prowess. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of software development and mission support in a fast-paced environment., System Design & Implementation: Design, install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability. Security & Redundancy: Implement and maintain robust security measures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans. Automation & Scripting: Develop custom scripts to automate tasks and improve system efficiency. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network components. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, management, and other departments to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system architecture, procedures, and support. Technology Evaluation: Research and assess emerging technologies for potential upgrades or new implementations.

2+ years of experience in system engineering, testing, or DevOps roles. CI/CD Knowledge: Proven experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools. Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix, version control (Git), and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar). Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development practices. Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
