Job description
Join our team at Televerse as a Senior Network Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting, maintaining, and managing the network for Samsung Austin Semiconductor's new manufacturing facility in Taylor, Texas., * Set up network lifecycle management for new enterprise networks
- Implement, manage, and troubleshoot hundreds of network devices (Arista switches, A10 L4 Switches, etc.) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Process system requests/tickets such as the following: defining solutions for internal customers, planning, preparation, deployment, implementation, monitoring, documentation
- Manage multiple projects related to infrastructure expansion, replacement, and upgrades (HW/SW)
- Monitor network performance diligently and escalate appropriate issues until resolution
- Execute lab tests to validate solutions, bug fixes, and impact analyses
- Collaborate with vendors and ISPs for issue escalation, maintenance windows, and RMA processing
- Create standard operating procedures and checklists while conforming to various corporate policies
- Maintain documentation for all network systems (LAN, Datacenter, Wireless, etc.) and proactively share useful knowledge and information with the rest of the team
- Support the team with various internal tasks (inventory management, peer review, etc.)
- Provide on-site and after-hours support as needed while participating in an on-call rotation
- Create ad-hoc reports per management's request
Requirements
Do you have experience in Visio?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in designing and supporting enterprise networks
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting the following protocols: OSPF, BGP, IPSec tunnels, VRF, VSS, IGMP, Anycast-RP, 802.1x, TACACS+
- In-depth understanding of IPv4 Subnetting, VPC, Mlag, PIM, MSDP, Syslog, EVPN
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically
- Effective communication and documentation skills
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience in supporting manufacturing environments
- Arista Certification or experience with Arista equipment
- Unix/Linux knowledge, * Bachelor's (Required), * Network engineering: 5 years (Required)
