Job description
An Augeo ColdFusion Developer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack web applications built on ColdFusion (CFML) using the ColdBox MVC framework and the Lucee open-source engine. This individual will play a key role across the full development lifecycle - from building server-side business logic and RESTful APIs to developing front-end interfaces and managing containerized deployment environments. You'll work with a modern CFML stack that embraces current best practices: ColdBox with WireBox dependency injection, TestBox for testing, CommandBox for tooling, and Docker for containerization. You'll also work across the front-end, building and maintaining user-facing features with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You'll be expected to leverage AI coding assistants and agentic AI tools to accelerate development, automate repetitive tasks, and continuously improve the quality and velocity of your work across the full stack., * Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using ColdFusion (CFML) on the Lucee engine with the ColdBox MVC framework
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and server-side business logic using ColdBox, WireBox dependency injection, and CFScript
- Develop and maintain front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and BDD tests using TestBox and MockBox to ensure code quality and reliability
- Containerize applications using Docker and CommandBox, managing development, staging, and production environments through Docker Compose or orchestration tools
- Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate development, improve code quality, and reduce time spent on repetitive coding tasks
- Identify and implement opportunities to use agentic AI tools to automate testing workflows, code generation, documentation, and deployment processes

Desired Technical Skills
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing web applications with ColdFusion (CFML), with a strong preference for CFScript over tag-based syntax
- Experience containerizing CFML applications using Docker, including writing Dockerfiles, managing Docker Compose configurations, and working with containerized development and deployment workflows
- Strong front-end development skills, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with experience building responsive, accessible user interfaces
- Familiarity with front-end libraries and frameworks (jQuery, Vue.js, React, or similar) is a plus
- 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries against MySQL databases, including joins, subqueries, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization
- Experience with TestBox for unit testing, integration testing, and BDD-style specifications
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket), including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review workflows
- Experience leveraging AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools) for CFML and full-stack development
- Understanding of application monitoring and observability tools (FusionReactor, New Relic, or similar) is a plus, * Four-year college degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent relevant experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in a software development or engineering role, with a significant focus on CFML/ColdFusion development
