We're looking for a Senior IT Engineer who enjoys providing exceptional service without the typical roadblocks of traditional MSP management. At JBIT, you won't be buried in bureaucracy or bouncing between dozens of faceless tickets - you'll be the primary technician assigned to your clients, building real relationships through daily helpdesk support and taking genuine pride in the environments you manage. This position is ideal for an experienced MSP technician who can own client environments, lead complex technical work, and confidently take responsibility for both client success and internal escalation.

Responsibilities
- Work onsite at our Westfield, MA office (M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm)
- Provide the complete range of helpdesk and systems support for assigned client environments
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, server, and network issues
- Monitor, maintain, and secure client IT environments using our established tool stack
- Serve as technical lead for assigned client environments
- Execute and complete complex IT projects including migrations, upgrades, and new deployments
- Maintain accurate and organized client system documentation
- Collaborate with client leadership to align IT systems with business goals
- Typical environments managed range from 20-200 endpoints, including cloud, on-prem, and hybrid setups
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * 5+ years of IT support experience (MSP experience strongly preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- In-person position at our Westfield, MA office
- Occasional on-site client visits
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Company vehicle provided for client travel
Skills we are looking for
- Design, configure, and manage:
- Firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and Wi-Fi networks
- Install, configure, and support:
- Windows 11 workstations
- Windows Server 2016+
- Network devices including firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi
- Legacy hardware when needed
- Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Exchange / SharePoint
- DNS and email-related records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and IP networking
- Windows 11 and Windows Server 2016+
- Hyper-V and/or VMware
- Cyber Security best practices in Entra and workstation management
- PowerShell scripting experience (especially Azure / Microsoft 365)
- IT project leadership experience
- Industry certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco), * Can you independently perform the following tasks with no assistance?
Deploy a new Microsoft 365 tenant including Azure AD Sync, licensing, transport rules, and PowerShell administration
Design and modify DNS records supporting email and web services
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 11 workstations and Windows Server 2016+
Deploy and manage Hyper-V or VMware virtualization platforms
Configure firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, NAT rules, and VLANs
Experience:
